The loudspeaker shall be a passive, two-way column system. Its transducers shall consist of four reflex-loaded 4” (100 mm) low-frequency drivers with 1.5” (38 mm) voice coils and a 1” (25 mm) exit high-frequency compression driver with a 1” (25 mm) dome, mounted on a Differential Dispersion horn to provide wide and consistent coverage.
Horizontal dispersion shall taper from 100° to 120° along the vertical axis to optimise near and far field coverage. Vertical dispersion shall be 40° total (+15° / –25°). The on-axis frequency response shall be 82 Hz to 17 kHz (±3 dB), with low-frequency extension down to 63 Hz (–10 dB). The loudspeaker shall produce a peak SPL of 119 dB (125 dB with crest factor 4) at 1 metre. Nominal impedance shall be 8 ohms. The loudspeaker shall require external amplification and processing. For optimal performance, it shall be used in conjunction with a dedicated electronic controller such as a Martin Audio DX series processor, paired with a VIA series amplifier, or with an iKON series combined amplifier and processor.
The rear connector panel shall be fitted with an NL4 connector. The enclosure shall be constructed from durable plywood and finished in durable black or white paint. It shall be fitted with a pole-mount socket with a removable cover and M8 threaded inserts to accommodate wall brackets, yokes or eyebolt suspension. The drivers shall be protected by a screw-fixed, perforated steel grille with a cloth backing.
Dimensions (W x H x D) shall be 150 mm x 800 mm x 187 mm (5.9 in x 31.5 in x 7.3 in). Weight shall be 7.5 kg (16.5 lbs).
The loudspeaker shall be the Martin Audio Blackline Q44.
