Position summary

The Regional Sales position will manage existing and new distributor/customer relationships in China across all Generation AV brands.  Managing sales, identifying new opportunities, driving revenue growth, and improving underperforming markets are all part of the job.  In addition, the successful candidate will have solid technical skills and a strong understanding of the products.  They will be able to train customers on the products and support them on project/system designs.  Managing and developing consultant and designer relationships will also be key.

Generation AV is the sales representative for many leading professional, commercial, and residential audio and video brands in Asia Pacific, looking after sales and application support for those brands.  With its headquarters in Singapore, the Generation AV team is spread across the region to support our partners.

 

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

  • The Regional Sales position is first and foremost a sales role, however the successful candidate must have good technical skills, and a good understanding of the products, technology, and the professional/commercial AV industry.
  • Can speak confidently of the products and technology across the brands Generation AV represents.
  • Has previous experience of working for an international audio brand in a technical sales role in China.
  • Good understanding of IT networking, networked DSP processors, Dante, control/automation systems, and loudspeaker technology.
  • Understands the AV installation market and the touring/rental market in China.
  • Build strong relationships with key distributors, rental companies, engineers, consultants, system integrators across the region. Be the face of the brands.
  • Builds a strong pipeline of opportunities and tracks the progress to a successful outcome.
  • Good negotiation skills, managing channels, and being customer focused, are all important attributes.
  • A good communicator who can report on activity and provide regular updates to their manager. Can take and understand directions and act on them quickly.
  • The successful candidate will be based in China, and will require extensive travel, both in China and internationally.
  • Must be fluent in both spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
