With a peak SPL of 127dB (133dB with crest factor 4), Blackline Q12 meets the demand for a compact loudspeaker capable of delivering high sound levels — whether used as a stand-alone system or in combination with a BlacklineQ subwoofer. It features a 12” (300mm) LF driver with a 2.5” (63mm) voice coil and a 1” (25mm) exit HF compression driver with a 1.7” (43mm) dome. It has a Differential Dispersion horn for wider and more consistent coverage, which can be easily rotated for horizontal or vertical orientation, depending on deployment requirements.

Blackline Q12 is a compact yet powerful loudspeaker, featuring a 12” (300mm) LF driver with 2.5” (63mm) voice coil and a 1” (25mm) exit HF compression driver with 1.7” (43mm) dome. Its Differential Dispersion horn ensures wide and consistent coverage and can be easily rotated for either horizontal or vertical orientation, making it adaptable to various deployment needs.

When paired with a BlacklineQ Series subwoofer, Q12 transforms into a high-performance dancefloor or sound reinforcement system—delivering impressive output and clarity for its size, while remaining highly portable.

Constructed from durable plywood, Q12 is finished in a tough black paint and protected by a screw-tight steel grille. It includes M8 inserts for wall brackets, yoke or eyebolt suspension, and the pole-mount socket has a removable cover to maintain clean aesthetics in installed applications.

This full-range, passive two-way system is recommended to be used with a processor and amplifier, or a combined amplifier-processor unit, such as a DX processor and VIA amplifier, or an iKON combined amplifier and processor.

Martin Audio Blackline Q12

The loudspeaker shall be a passive, two-way system. Its transducers shall consist of a reflex-loaded 12” (300 mm) low-frequency driver with a 2.5” (63 mm) voice coil and a 1” (25 mm) exit high-frequency compression driver with a 1.7” (43 mm) dome, mounted on a user-rotatable Differential Dispersion horn to enable vertical or horizontal orientation of the enclosure.

Horizontal dispersion shall taper from 90° to 110° along the vertical axis to optimise near and far field coverage. Vertical dispersion shall be 50° total (+20° / –30°). The on-axis frequency response shall be 56 Hz to 17 kHz (±3 dB), with low-frequency extension down to 45 Hz (–10 dB). The loudspeaker shall produce a peak SPL of 127 dB (133 dB with crest factor 4) at 1 metre. Nominal impedance shall be 8 ohms. The loudspeaker shall require external amplification and processing. For optimal performance, it shall be used in conjunction with a dedicated electronic controller such as a Martin Audio DX series processor, paired with a VIA series amplifier, or with an iKON series combined amplifier and processor.

The rear connector panel shall be fitted with two NL4 connectors. The enclosure shall be constructed from multi-angle plywood and finished in black textured paint. It shall be fitted with a pole-mount socket with a removable cover and M8 threaded inserts to accommodate wall brackets, yokes or eyebolt suspension. The drivers shall be protected by a screw-fixed, perforated steel grille with a cloth backing. An integrated ergonomic handle made from recycled ABS shall be included.

Dimensions (W x H x D) shall be 358 mm x 600 mm x 321 mm (14.1 in x 23.6 in x 12.7 in). Weight shall be 18.4 kg (40.6 lbs).

The loudspeaker shall be the Martin Audio Blackline Q12.
