Audio Brains completes pharma AV installation

JPN – A pharmaceutical company in Japan has installed an integrated media system centred on Symetrix’s Dante-enabled DSP mixer, the Radius NX 4×4 Dante. The project was delivered by Audio Brains and includes a sound system from Martin Audio and Powersoft, alongside video distribution from Visionary Solutions and an interpretation system from Televic.

Throughout the facility, analogue inputs in each room are connected via Symetrix analogue-to-Dante interfaces, enabling audio, video and simultaneous interpretation to be integrated across a single network. The system has been designed to deliver flexible routing and high scalability within a unified operational environment.

A multipurpose space within the facility can be used as a café for day-to-day operations or reconfigured for events. To support this flexibility, Audio Brains installed a Visionary Solutions encoder/decoder system to distribute video content to projectors. Audio is delivered through Martin Audio ACS-40TS ceiling speakers powered by Powersoft Mezzo 604 AD amplifiers, providing consistent coverage throughout the space.

Visionary Solutions’ thumbnail function allows preview images of each video source to be displayed on a control touchpanel, enabling users to monitor what is being shown on each projector in real time.

The installation also includes a streaming studio designed for webcasting and recording. Video distribution in this space uses the same Visionary Solutions network deployed across the floor. For applications requiring interpretation, Televic’s Unite digital wireless system provides interpretation audio, supported by a Unite CR-12P rack-mounted charger and Unite receivers. Televic Unite AP4 four-channel access points are installed in the ceilings of both the streaming studio and the multipurpose space, allowing receivers to switch between channels as required.

A Symetrix xIn XLR 4 endpoint enables users to switch between microphone- and line-level inputs via a button on the unit. The system supports handheld microphones and analogue audio sources, which can be routed for in-room amplification or sent to interpreters.

The interpretation room supports two languages, Japanese and English. Users can select operating modes – such as multipurpose space, studio or remote streaming – via a touchpanel interface. The system incorporates a Televic Plixus AE-R audio engine, Lingua ID Mike interpretation consoles and 60 Unite receivers. Some Unite units can also be configured in tour guide mode, using a separate four-pole microphone for simple intercom-style communication. The Lingua ID Mike console is compliant with ISO 20109:2016, ensuring standardised operation.

Video input and output are handled using a Visionary Solutions encoder/decoder configuration. The company’s AV-over-IP technology enables the transmission of 4K60p 4:4:4 video over networks with bandwidths below 1Gbps.

According to Audio Brains, integrating all systems onto a single network enables centralised control of audio, video and interpretation across the entire floor, resulting in a flexible and easily expandable media environment.
