The Iconic Towers of Lusail are an architectural translation of Qatar’s national seal, representing the traditional scimitar swords. Two hotels, a 5-star & Luxury 6-star hotel opened in 2022 with a total area of 300,000m2, the project was completed in time for the World cup being hosted in the Country, following ten years of construction. The venue has quickly become a true landmark in the gulf region.

THE CHALLENGE

 Extremely decerning clientele, who demand the absolute finest quality and luxury lifestyle in everything they do. This meant, that whatever was deployed, it needed to deliver the highest quality sound quality, combined with an aesthetic that did not distract from the stunning
surroundings. Moreover, it would need to withstand the harsh environmental conditions of the region, without the sound quality or appearance deteriorating over time. 

REQUIREMENTS

 The objective was to deliver balanced & even audio coverage throughout the outdoor space, whilst blending into the landscape garden areas around the pools and outdoor seating areas.

 98 Omni 6T speakers, combined with 119 of the LS6T landscape speakers were deployed on this project, providing coverage throughout the outdoor spaces of Katara Towers & delivering hi-fi delity audio, using Sonance’s laminated core transformer technology via 100v transmission.

The Polish History Museum builds a bridge
between the past and the present. In September
2023, the MHP opened on the grounds of the
Warsaw Citadel to the public. The design of the
new building was presented on 7 November
2016 at the Ministry of Culture and National
Heritage. It was decided that it would join
the existing 10th Pavilion Museum and Katyn
Museum at the Citadel, as well as the Museum
of the Polish Army.

THE CHALLENGE

 In this project, Sonance audio solutions were strategically deployed across diverse zones, each meticulously designed to cater to specific needs. The main stage, a focal point for events, boasts premium PS-C83RT speakers, enveloping the audience in a symphony of rich tones. The cinema room, featuring PS-C83RT and PS-P83T ceiling speakers, transforms movie nights into immersive experiences. Meanwhile, conference and workshop areas benefit from discreet yet powerful audio with Sonance PS-P83T and PS-C83RT, enhancing communication and collaboration. Seating arrangements in each zone were meticulously considered to ensure optimal acoustics, creating a harmonious blend of aesthetics and unparalleled sound quality throughout the space. 

REQUIREMENTS

 The Museum of Polish History faced the challenge of seamlessly integrating audio elements to enhance visitor engagement. Strategic placement of directional speakers, acoustically tuned rooms, and ergonomic seating were crucial design cues. The objective was to create an immersive sonic experience, ensuring that historical narratives are conveyed authentically and captivate visitors within the architectural and thematic framework of the museum.

THE CHALLENGE

With private events, tour groups, and animal encounters occurring simultaneously, the challenge was to deliver high quality sound at consistent sound levels throughout the premises, while ensuring volume levels were comfortable to listen to from any location.

Speakers also had to operate under extreme weather conditions as all installations would be outdoors. The team at Malibu Wine Safari knew that they needed even, balanced sound coverage and high-quality audio to elevate the unique experience that they offer. That’s when they reached out to LVX Marketing, the Sonance Southwest commercial manufacturer’s representative, to find an ideal commercial integrator for this project. Quiet Voice Audio in Valley Center, California were soon awarded this project, and turned to Sonance for their highly acclaimed outdoor audio solutions.

RESULT

From the immersive seasonal Light Tunnel experience, to numerous safari vehicles and multiple wedding venues throughout the property, the Malibu Wine Safari installation consists of 50 4.5” Satellite Speakers, 18 6.5” Satellite Speakers and seven 12” in-ground Subwoofers throughout the over 1,000-acre attraction to deliver perfectly even coverage and sound quality throughout each space. Additionally, Mariner speakers were mounted on all open-top safari vehicles to provide an immersive experience as guests explore the property. The Mariners’ IP-66 weatherproof construction safeguards the speakers against moisture and the elements. The placement of speakers throughout the property provides an impactful yet comfortable listening experience to help make each visit nothing short of magical.

Brick features a large L-shaped dining area with both high-top and regular tables, bordered by a bar with stool seating and a long corridor fronted by the kitchen, providing access to an outdoor covered deck with additional seating.

The Brick installation consists of 4” Pendant Speakers in the main dining area and corridor, with 8” Surface Mount Woofers along the edge of the wall to provide additional bass. 8” Surface Mount Speakers provide a separate sound stage in bar area, while 6” Surface Mount Speakers and 8” Surface Mount Woofers were used on the patio. The consistent voicing across the Sonance Professional Series range ensures seamless integration of sound when moving from one area to the next.

THE CHALLENGE

With a goal of creating an upscale hacienda ambiance for the property, and minimizing surrounding noise, the challenge was to deliver high quality sound at a consistent, comfortable volume from any location on the property. The system also needed to be aesthetically pleasing to ensure it would blend with the nearly 250-year-old Mission San Juan Capistrano’s architecture’s integrity.

The intent was clear; deliver a unique, memorable guest experience. RESULT

5 North Media ensured a consistent, comfortable, evenly balanced sound experience throughout the entire property that also blended in with the architecture. This was accomplished by engineering the audio design with very specific speakers and placement in each area.

The walkways leading up to the Inn at the Mission San Juan Capistrano were lined with Sonance Landscape Series Satellite speakers, as well as dispersed throughout all outdoor walkways and courtyards to help achieve consistent and excellent sound everywhere on the property.

In the porte cochère, main courtyard, and pool area, Sonance Surface Mount speakers were installed to provide an immersive experience as guests explore the property and to cover ambient noise from the surrounding area. All Surface Mount speakers were custom painted to blend in with the design of the space. The weatherproof construction of the outdoor products safeguards the speakers against moisture and other outdoor elements.

A variety of Sonance In-Ceiling speakers were used throughout the lobby, restaurant, bar, fitness center, and meeting rooms to achieve different results depending on the space, while retaining common voicing from space to space.

THE CHALLENGE

With a growing demand for corporate gathering spaces in Austin, the team behind Centro Event Space knew that they wanted to create a space that would not only be aesthetically pleasing, but also incorporated the highest quality, yet easy to use, audio system that would set them apart from other event locations.

With numerous zones throughout the property, and a 14-foot video wall in the main event space, the challenge was to deliver high quality sound at consistent sound levels throughout the premises, while ensuring volume levels were comfortable to listen to in any location. The space was also purposefully built with modern finishes that could easily transform from a corporate event space in the day to a cocktail and catering lounge in the evening depending on the demands of the client. It was essential that any speaker that was installed blend in with the design of the space to maintain that top notch aesthetic and almost disappear.

From the main event space, to the facilities’ gym, the Centro Event Space installation consists of 18 Sonance Professional Series Pendant Speakers and four 6.5” Professional Series Surface Mount speakers in the open-air outdoor terrace. The Surface Mount’s IPX-4 weatherproof construction safeguards the speakers against moisture and other outdoor elements.

Centro’s control system consists of a simple interface with only a few buttons for source selection which engages all the appropriate back end selections with just a simple touch, making it easy for anyone to use.

Austin’s South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference exhibits cutting-edge innovation and creativity through technology, culture, and music; showcasing brands who aim to connect people. Spatial embarked on a unique mission to provide guests the experience of the full power of immersive sound at The Sunset Room with The Spatial Holodeck SXSW activation.

The activation, designed and fabricated by Pink Sparrow, set out to bridge a multitude of spaces that took visitors on a sonic journey powered by Spatial’s technology. By introducing three-dimensional, interactive soundscapes, Spatial and their partners redefined immersive experiences and provided an audio world unheard anywhere else.

Guests were surrounded by 360-degree immersive audio as they explored scenes from around the world and learned about Spatial technology throughout; guided demonstrations, a sonic listening lounge, hands-on opportunities with Spatial Studio, and a stage for panel programming. The Spatial Holodeck partnered with arts and entertainment collective Meow Wolf, who designed a pop-up exhibit that took guests through an experiential journey with interactive moments within the Spatial Holodeck.

THE CHALLENGE

The team at Spatial knew they wanted to create an activation that seamlessly blended speakers and supporting technology with the activation’s physical design aspects. Spatial chose Sonance and James Loudspeakers, with a reputation of the highest quality audio system; bringing together some of the core artistic principles in audio design, sound-engineering, and AV integration. The collaboration between Sonance and Spatial made this experience a sonic work of art.

The team at Spatial expected a very diverse SXSW audience for their largest public-facing activation to date. With only 90 days to bring this event to life and four days to build the activation, the stakes were high for Spatial to find a team that could help them implement systems that would seamlessly work together.

With multiple spaces throughout the 3,700 square foot venue, and acoustic challenges including 14-foot ceilings lined with exposed ductwork in the interior space, it was crucial to maintain audio quality. With these challenges and a desire for high-quality audio to elevate the distinct spaces throughout the activation, the team at Spatial reached out to Felix Media Solutions, for their world-class professional, creative, and technical capabilities with a focus on bringing their customers’ visions to life.

With Spatial, design principles are no longer a concern. Spaces can now be designed with visual and audio intent in mind all while keeping the aesthetic and acoustic value of spaces at the highest priority. The Spatial Holodeck proved that by working with Sonance and Felix Media Solutions, seamless, custom and flawless integration can be accomplished Time only became an obstacle, not an inhibitor.

Integration (installation) began offsite at the Pink Sparrow warehouse in LA, where Sonance speakers were installed into pre- constructed frames that were then shipped to Austin while Felix Media Solutions began installing Sonance speaker wire runs into the venue’s activation spaces in anticipation of the panels’ arrival and installing ceiling-mounted speakers and subwoofers. Both teams worked together to build connection boxes that were designed to meet the pre-arrival runs Felix Media Solutions installed in the venue, allowing for a seamless transition between the work done in Los Angeles and that done in Austin as activation components arrived and were assembled.

RESULTS

The team at Felix Media Solutions wanted to ensure that they integrated evenly balanced sound that was not only acoustically tuned, but would also enable a truly experiential environment. Spatial had a very specific vision and high expectations of partnering with the best in technology, audiovisual, and IT. Felix Media Solutions understood the pre-work integration and preparation that went into a complex commercial activation.

With a very short timeline and a very strict project management schedule, the team at Felix Media Solutions was able to install over 179 channels throughout the 3,700 square foot activation as well as the exterior pop-up with Meow Wolf.

Guided Demo – A combination of over 32 speakers were installed in the 20” x 20” room to fill the space with rich, detailed bass frequencies. This install consisted of numerous James Loudspeaker PD62-4 Pendants, Sonance Mariner 56, Impact i12, and PS-S210- SUBT Subs in the ceiling.

Liminal Space – The entryway to the Guided Demo consisted of 20 speakers. 18 Sonance AS38S In-Wall speakers with two James Loudspeaker PD62-4 Pendants. This 20′ x 10′ walkway enveloped the room with soft content, and was a well-received auditory warm up to the Guided Demo.

Listening Lounge – The listening lounge consisted of five James Loudspeaker PD62-4 Pendants, two James Loudspeakers OW53 On-Wall Speakers, four Sonance Mariner 56 Speakers behind the fabric, seven Sonance VP66 In-Wall speakers, four Sonance AS38 In-Wall Speakers, one Sonance PS-S210SUBT Sub, and one Sonance Impact i12 Sub.

Tech Space – A combination of James Loudspeaker PD62-4 Pendants and OW53 On-Wall speakers were utilized, along with Sonance Mariner 56 speakers, Visual Performance VP66 and Architectural Series AS38 In-Wall Speakers, and Impact i12 and PS-S210SUBT Subs.

Meow Wolf – The Meow Wolf exhibit showed off Spatial’s dynamic abilities. With interactive exhibits scattered throughout the venue, Spatial’s software was able to virtually place specific content designed for each individual island. The Meow Wolf exhibit consisted of a 40′ x 60′ tent with 61 channels of audio. Speakers included Sonance Mariner 56 Speakers, PS-S210SUBT and Impact i12 Subs, and James Loudspeaker PD62-4 Pendants.

The ability to order food, purchase gear from the pro-shop, look at real-time game statistics, and more, requires technology that is user friendly, powerful, and adaptable for multiple use-cases

THE CHALLENGE

Sidecar Social was an intriguing project with a bold vision and a complex space. The open concept L-shaped building brought unique challenges. There needed to be four distinct areas, each serving a specific purpose, from watching a ballgame to playing foosball, or sharing a meal with friends. The complexity came in making sure the whole space blended well together. For the project to be successful, there had to be a lot of trust and communication between everyone involved. Interior designer, Jennifer Jackson and CEO of SAVE, Tim Boyd took the challenge head on.

“The goal of the space and the real challenge was to make everyone feel comfortable. We wanted someone to be able to go to a dinner party all dressed up, and swing by Sidecar Social for cocktails on the way home. But we also have this other group of people that have been playing golf all day and want to come to Sidecar to watch the game.“ – Jennifer Jackson

REQUIREMENTS

The dream for Sidecar Social was to be a place that had something for everyone, with well defined spaces that served specific functions, but that all fit together harmoniously. Two vital pieces of creating that harmony came from the audio and video quality throughout the space. It needed to be top notch to get the desired experience for the guests.

METHODOLOGY

Designing an automated system for a commercial project requires unique needs of that business and that it operates seamlessly and with ease. Functionality and usability are of utmost importance. That is why the team at Sidecar Social selected SAVE Electronics to help them transform their venue with the right audio, video, and system control. Creating a space with incredible audio from speakers that didn’t detract from the look and feel of the space was vital. There are roughly 150 Sonance speakers in Sidecar Social. The whole space can be turned up or played at lower levels depending on the time of day, and the audio quality isn’t compromised either way. The entire system is controlled by Crestron from an iPad. IPORT is the solution used to Hold, Charge, and Protect the iPad and can be mounted to the wall or on a charging dock.

These elements show up in the food, the interiors, and the people. Each aspect is interpreted in a revitalized context with a South African flavor.

THE CHALLENGE

Ethos restaurant brings something new to South Africa. The attention to detail is exquisite. From the elegant plating of the food to the warmth of the lighting, every detail is accounted for. To create the desired mood for the space, there needed to be an added audio experience where sound comes from seemingly everywhere without the look of big bulky speakers hanging from the wall or ceiling.

REQUIREMENTS

Adding audio to the space needed to meet stringent demands to match the carefully curated details throughout the restaurant. The audio had to be visually minimalistic so as not to be a distraction from the overall feeling of the space. The sound quality needed to be superb and the atmosphere needed to be comfortable. The system would need to deliver music at the perfect level, comfortable to listen to without distracting or interfering with conversation in any way.

Recognizing the importance of selecting a sleek, reliable, and capable audio system, the Ethos design team partnered with the experts at ProAudio, DJHeaven, and DeVrye Automation. Ultimately, the team selected Sonance Professional Series as the audio solution to meet the requirements for Ethos to complete the overall atmosphere and dining experience.

RESULTS

As the first implementation of Sonance Professional Series products into a project in Africa, Ethos is breaking ground for endless possibilities of future commercial projects that may choose to feature Sonance Professional Series. The speakers are available in various form factors with a minimalistic finish and shape to blend into any space and provide proper audio intelligibility and coverage for a comfortable experience. The result is audio that sounds great but is almost invisible. The music can be heard but the source cannot be easily determined by the ear or the eye. The audio does not take away from the environment, but rather, it adds the perfect touch to it.
