Martin Audio has announced the release of two new compact, high performance cardioid subwoofers, the SXCF118 and the SXC115, suitable for both live sound reinforcement and fixed installations.
The SXCF118 is a flyable version of the SXC118 released last year and has been purpose designed to accompany the WPS optimised line array system, while the ground stack SXC115 is set to partner WPM.

Barbee Boys are a five-piece Japanese rock band who were particularly popular in 1980’s. The first Japanese group to perform at the famous Nippon Budokan,they disbanded in 1992, much to the disappointmentof their young generation of fans.
This turned to excitement when they suddenly announced a solo ‘comeback’ concert at the Yoyogi National Stadium 1st Gymnasiumon January 13—exactly a decade after that Budokan show—sending these same fans into raptures.

Countdown Japan is one of the biggest new year countdown music festivals in Japan, held over four days at the end of December (and leading up to the final countdown at midnight on December 31st). This major event features between 40-50 Japanese music acts per day.

A busy demo room and high-quality meetings were the major success stories, with a “Best of Show Award” for the new ADORN Ceiling loudspeakers an unexpected bonus.
With 2020 marking the final outing for ISE in Amsterdam, it is sure to go down as a show that everyone who was there will remember. The disruption caused by both Storm Ciara and coronavirus meant that there was a very different feeling on the show floor at the RAI. But with full credit given to the show organiser, those who did manage to make it to Amsterdam were determined to make the best of it and do the business they came for.
Martin Audio’s busy start to the year sees no sign of slowing down with the announcement of a further five new products targeting commercial installation sector with in-ceiling and pendant loudspeakers joining the ADORN series.
The ADORN commercial series of on-wall loudspeakers was first introduced in 2019. This has now been expanded by three in-ceiling loudspeakers and the company’s first ever pendant speaker, available in white or black as standard.
Singapore-based Generation AV – which represents Martin Audio in the APAC countries – has recruited Tony Sawyer as Senior APAC Applications Manager. A significant addition to the team, he had previously worked with Vue, managing their technical support for Asia Pacific.
Audio veteran David McKinney, who set up Generation AV in June last year, has known Sawyer for 20 years, and sees the appointment as a major boost to the company’s growth. “We started talks a few months ago and decided now was the right time to get him onboard,” stated McKinney.

First out of the gates is the new S. Series, comprising three passive two-way systems — the S.10, S.12 and S.15. These combine the Martin Audio signature sound of warmth, clarity and smooth response with the vocal presence required for a fun Karaoke experience and designed specifically for small-medium entertainment installations and family KTV.
