I have been a DJ for 40 years (I’m also the Treasurer of the South Eastern Discotheque Association (SEDA)) and during my career have been fortunate to have owned, used, or heard many of the top-brand speakers used by both mobile DJs and bands.
I started out with Fal (Futuristic Aids Ltd) Speakers, but quickly moved on to better, though I have to admit that I have never owned any HH speakers for some strange reason. Perhaps it was the weight of the older systems that put me off!
Martin Audio has announced a Special Event to take place on February 16th, 2021, getting its 50th Anniversary year off to an energetic start. The virtual presentation will provide important updates, including the announcement of major new product and software releases.
Their rationale for a virtual event is that with much of the global tradeshow calendar still in doubt, there are very few opportunities in the near future for in-person collaboration to highlight significant additions to the international pro audio industry’s arsenal.
Martin Audio’s ever-popular CDD loudspeaker series, has found another high-profile home … this time on the Italian Riviera in Santa Margherita Ligure at the famous Il Covo Di Nord-Est nightclub.
The venue features both indoor and outdoor spaces: the main bar is located in the former, while the dance floor and sofas, arranged differently every night, can be found outside. The main DJ area hosts local artists as well as more well-known names in the music industry, and it is here that the ultra-compact 2-way CDD loudspeaker solution was specified.

UNITED KINGDOM: HH Electronics, part of the British Headstock Group, has appointed Singapore-based Generation AV to look after its sales strategies in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and African regions. Generation AV, headed by David McKinney, will support established partnerships, develop business in new markets and provide technical support and training.
