Martin Audio has been supporting the PLASA led #WeMakeEvents campaign which highlights the plight of the UK live events industry and the desperate need for additional Government support to this highly technical and specialised sector. The campaign culminated with a spectacular day of action with up to 5,000 people lining the banks and bridges of the River Thames to raise awareness of the crisis with politicians and the wider public.
The live events industry was the first to be impacted by the global shutdown as a result of the pandemic and will be the last to return to work. It can only exist when large scale gatherings can be held safely, which is simply not possible until sometime next year and even then, the future is uncertain.
It’s the perfect time for a pool day now that our CONNECTSERIES amps have made their way into another system install. Thanks to our partners at ESS Audio, the town of Tomaszów Lubelski in south-eastern Poland is home to a new, state-of-the-art sports and recreation center. The center includes a large swimming pool, smaller recreational pool, 60-meter slide, multiple exercise rooms and a café.
Let’s dive in and take a closer look…
Martin Audio is proud to support the #WeMakeEvents Red Alert campaign in support of the UK live event sector which urgently needs government support to survive the COVID-19 crisis.
The events sector employs over 1,000,000 highly skilled people in the UK, all of whom have had no work for the past four months with little likelihood of restarting until Spring. The aim is to have financial support extended for the people and companies in this sector until they can return to work.
Ok, so you’ve got a new AV project. You’re in the system design process and you need to decide what gear you’ll need for the install. You’ve probably got your go-to brands and makes and models that you’ve used a hundred times. They’re predictable, your comfortable installing them, your comfortable configuring them, and you’re happy with the end result. But, chances are, you’re settling for less. If given the option, why not choose a product that is just as easy (or easier) to install, configure, and maintain but with the added benefit of making you more money? That is the true advantage of choosing IoT AV devices.
You’re probably using IoT products on a daily basis at home. Maybe your toothbrush sends data to the cloud, you might check the video feed from your doorbell on your phone, or maybe you remotely control your home’s lights or thermostat when your away on vacation.
Boasting one of London’s most iconic settings—on the top floor of the former Dickins & Jones department store at Oxford Circus—Aqua is a combination of the Japanese Aqua Kyoto sushi restaurant and Aqua Nueva contemporary Spanish restaurant. Set on a vast 17,000 sq. ft space, it also includes a large central bar and balcony/terrace bar.
Opened more than a decade ago by Hong Kong-based Aqua Restaurant Group, it recently underwent a design metamorphosis, which included an upgraded Martin Audio sound system, while still retaining its distinct nightclub flavour.
Prior to the recent lock down period in Europe, Japanese ‘android diva’ Hatsune Miku toured Europe again with production company Proper Productions and Capital Sound providing sound reinforcement with Martin Audio’s award-winning MLA loudspeaker array.
Hatsune Miku had previously toured Europe for the first time back in late 2018. The three European dates were unique in that the venues (including London Olympia) were completely diverse in size and dimension, and that the ‘Vocaloid’ music sensation, using a computer generated voicebank developed by Crypton Future Media, performed a shrill, high octane ‘thrash’ metal repertoire to an adoring set of fans.
With registrations similar to the numbers Martin Audio would expect to meet at a large international trade show, the British pro audio pioneer is pleased to declare its first ever virtual trade show a resounding success. The company held its event on May 20th taking the form of three 90-minute webinars matched to different time zones.
“We achieved over 800 registrations for the event,” reveals James King, Martin Audio’s Director of Marketing. “To put that in context, this is the amount of people we would engage with at ISE or InfoComm in our demo room in a given week, and probably four times the amount we get to our UK Open Day events. So, this was a very efficient exercise.”
Welcome to the Cloud!
leaprofessional.cloud is the first cloud platform of its kind that works exclusively with our CONNECTSERIES amplifiers. This provides an ideal control, monitoring, analytics, and data storage system for professional AV Integrators. By utilizing the Cloud, integrators have the opportunity to create reoccurring revenue streams to add to their existing service contracts. Not to mention, using the cloud provides enhanced preventative maintenance, simplifies troubleshooting, and reduces or completely eliminates onsite repairs/replacements.
